Childhood Memories
★★★★★

Personally, this unit felt impactful and special because it reminded me of my childhood experiences working in my grandmother’s garden. Watering plants, getting my hands dirty, and learning through practice were simple moments at the time, yet they reflected many of the principles now explained in agroecology. The lesson helped me realize that agroecology is not only a scientific field but also a way of life rooted in tradition, community knowledge, and respect for nature.. It successfully created a strong foundation for the rest of the course by combining knowledge, personal connection, and practical relevance. It has increased my interest in learning more about sustainable agriculture and has strengthened my appreciation for the lessons I unknowingly gained as a child.

This unit was very inspiring because it shows how young people can learn practical skills in growing food. I appreciated the clear explanations about soil, planting, and the importance of agroecology for youth empowerment. The activities were simple but powerful, making it easy to understand how food production connects to community development. This course motivates young learners to take responsibility for sustainable farming and to see agriculture as a pathway to independence and leadership.

I was happy with the introduction, I enjoyed reading different stories of farmers and I was happy that all agricultural challanges were solved

Perfect intro
★★★★★

I’m very intrigued to know more after learning about all the stories of several people

Inspirational
★★★★★

I enjoyed reading about the different stories showcased in this first module. These are stories of farmers dedicated to working with what they have and providing for themselves, their families and their communities. These stories show us that agroecology requires patience, perseverance, and grit. There are solutions to agricultural challenges that need our imagination, knowing where to look for more information, testing and trusting the process and then adjusting to go forward.

I think what’s missing is an article that frames agroecology clearly for those who aren’t sure. Outlining the balance between agricultural practices and preservation of the ecosystem by the use of smart water management, microclimate establishment, soil preservation, and habitat creation and preservation. The articles point to this; it would be nice to have it summarised.

Loved it!
