NYRI Digital Course

The National Youth Resilience Initiative (NYRI), a multi-stakeholder initiative within the Inclusive Violence and Crime Prevention (VCP) Programme, seeks to support young people in strengthening and reframing what it means to be resilient in these uncertain times. This initiative aims to say to young people that you are the leaders of the future because you understand who you are; you are confident to speak up in the face of injustice; you recognise that you do hold massive potential to change the world around you (and you believe it); you feel trusted to make a difference, to make decisions… to serve. You are seen.

And when you rise up in that confidence, and in that kindness to yourself and others – you begin to tell a very important story to the world around you – a story of who you are, how you wish to be treated, what you will accept and how you will navigate life. You begin to strengthen resilience.

Because you know that you matter. And the world needs to know that, too.

The NYRI is a multi-stakeholder partnership with National Government, Civil Society, our Academic Partners, and GIZ as a supporting entity. Our National Government partners are DWYPD, NYDA, and the Inclusive Violence and Crime Prevention (VCP) Programme, Activate Change Drivers is our Civil Society implementing partner, with the Centre for the Study of Resilience serving as our Academic Partner.
